Matt Bizer Is the Executive Producer and Co-Founder of the Luck Reunion and Luck Productions based at Willie Nelson’s Luck, Texas Ranch. Originally from New Braunfels Texas, Matt began his career in his teens working in film. Living out of his car in his early 20s he traveled the country working as a cinematographer on independent films, docs, commercials, and military training films before moving to New Mexico and joining the IATSE union as a film professional. From there, Matt worked on the crew of dozens of films and projects ranging from the Coen Brothers True Girt to Austin’s Friday Night Lights and Spy Kids. His last staff film was none other than a film based on the book by Turk Pipken entitled: When Angels Sing starring Willie Nelson. Matt left film to start his own production company in 2011 in New York where he began creating commercials, music videos, and live streams for clients ranging from GE to Calvin Klein and artists such as Old Crow Medicine Show, Chuck Berry and Willie Nelson. While moving to New York Matt met what is now the Luck Productions team and together dreamed up what is now Luck Reunion on the barstools of the 11th street bar in New York’s East Village. That team launched the 1st event in Luck in 2012 as an 800 attendance secret party and have grown it into the 4000 capacity annual event and organization Fast Company calls “the anti-coachella”. After a few years in Nashville and Los Angeles, Matt Returned to Austin where he works and lives today.
